Dear reader,
if you're here, chances are you already know us a little. Maybe you've taken one of our courses, maybe you've been following us for a while, maybe you arrived here by chance and are curious about what we do. Either way, welcome. This is the first issue of a newsletter we've wanted to write for a while, and it's finally starting today.
We are Danny and Marzia, and together we carry forward a path dedicated to Voice Dialogue: a method that changed the way we work on ourselves, and that for years we've shared with people approaching personal growth, whether for private reasons or professional ones.
A little about us
I'm Danny: a Self-Leadership Coach certified PCC ICF, EQ Assessor, and Voice Dialogue Facilitator. My work is about helping people get to know their inner parts, the ones that usually stay in the shadows, and building a more conscious relationship with themselves. I'm also completing a master's degree in Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology, a step that feels natural as I go deeper into this work.
It's thanks to Marzia that I first encountered Voice Dialogue, during my early training as a coach. It was one of those encounters you don't expect and then never let go of: since then, I've never stopped studying it, practicing it, and bringing it into my work. The Facilitator Training Course in Voice Dialogue was born from an idea of Marzia's, who built it with her own experience and vision. That's where our collaboration began: we brought our contributions together, each with our own path and sensitivity, and together we later shaped the Introductory Course (CIVD) as well. Working as a pair, with two different perspectives intertwining, is an integral part of how we understand this method: dialogue, before being a technique, is a posture.
Why Voice Dialogue
Voice Dialogue comes from an intuition of Hal and Sidra Stone: inside each of us live many "voices," many different Selves, each with its own story, its own need, its own way of protecting us. There's the Primary Self, the one we identify with most and that guides how we present ourselves to the world. And there's the Disowned Self, the one we've learned to set aside because it didn't feel acceptable or safe to show it.
Learning to listen to these voices, without being overwhelmed by them or having to suppress them, is at the heart of the method. It's work that can be deeply personal, but also a powerful tool for anyone in a helping profession: coaches, therapists, psychologists, trainers.
What you'll find in this newsletter
This space is meant to be a bridge between theory and practice. It won't be just informational, and it won't be just technical: we'll try to hold both together, as we've always tried to do in our work. You'll find reflections on the key concepts of Voice Dialogue, practical ideas to bring into everyday life or into work with clients, stories and testimonials from people who have gone through this path, and updates on our courses and on the community we're building together with our alumni.
We don't yet know exactly where this project will take us, and in a way, that's exactly what we like about it: we're writing it a little at a time, the same way you give voice to a part of yourself you didn't fully know yet. After all, when a dialogue truly begins, you never know where it will lead: you just have to start listening.
Thank you for being here with us from this very first issue.
See you soon,
Danny and Marzia
